Les médicaments génériques sont des médicaments dont la formule chimique est entrée dans le domaine public : c'est à dire que n'importe quelle firme peut les fabriquer. Les lois de la vraie concurrence jouent donc pleinement, avec comme résultat un prix de vente souvent nettement moins cher que le médicament original qui lui est protégé par un brevet et ne peut être produit que par une seule firme : celle qui a inventé la formule et en est le propriétaire.
Ces médicaments ont exactement la même composition que le médicament original : ils sont donc absolument aussi efficaces et devraient dans tous les cas être préférés aux médicaments "de marque" souvent beaucoup plus chers (pour le particulier, et aussi pour la sécurité sociale c'est-à-dire en fin de compte tous les citoyens).
Pendant la période durant laquelle ils ont le monopole de la fabrication, les firmes pharmaceutiques incluent presque systématiquement un pourcentage très élevé de profit dans le prix de leurs médicaments, pour compenser les frais de recherche (souvent très importants) qui ont été nécessaires, non seulement pour ce médicament en particulier, mais pour toute une série d'autres projets de recherche qui n'ont peut-être pas (encore ?) abouti.
Si cela n'était pas permis, on courrait le risque de voir la recherche des firmes privées s'orienter vers des domaines moins compliqués ou avec un espoir de réussite plus immédiat, ce qui empêcherait sans nul doute beaucoup de progrès.

Je trouve que les animaux sont beaucoup mieux traité que les humains le pire c'est que l'on ne peu pas faire grand choses. Et les dirigents ce demande pourquoi il y a tellement de maladie qu'on souvre les yeux...........
